ZC addresses umpiring and scoring issues
Zimbabwe Cricket is aiming to find the next generation of scorers and umpires by holding a course at Harare Sports Club. A board-picked group of 19, which includes 13 women, will attend the two-day meeting.Standards of umpiring have dropped to an all time low in the country and ZC have finally decided that they need to do something about it.

Shakib and Razzak draw Bangladesh level
Shakib Al Hasan and Abdur Razzak led the way as Bangladesh fought back to level the ODI series at 1-1 with three matches still to play. After winning the toss stand in captain Hamilton Masakadza chose to bat on a much changed wicket from Tuesdays first ODI. Masakadza (34) and Justice Chibabha (39) got Zimbabwe of to a brisk start finding the boundary regularly in putting on 59 for the first wicket before Masakadza was given out LBW to a delivery that hit him outside the line of off stump off Naeem Islam.

Chigumbura shines as Zimbabwe win first ODI
Elton Chigumbura produced a sensational all round performance to guide Zimbabwe to an comfortable five wickets win over Bangladesh. After winning the toss and opting to bat Zimbabwe struck twice early on through Chigumbura who had Sidique caught at cover by Matsikenyeri and Tamim Iqbal caught behind both from pitched up deliveries. Chigumbura opening burst was well supported by twenty-year-old Kyle Jarvis who managed to extract good bounce form the Mipur surface.

Taylor stars as Zimbabwe cruise to warm up win
Brendan Taylor hit a career best 139 to secure a comfortable win over a Bangladesh select eleven ahead of the first ODI on Tuesday. Taylor’s knock included nine fours and six sixes and his 188 runs partnership with Tatenda Taibu who hit 68 to set a perfect platform for the last assault by Elton Chigumbura (45) and Malcolm Waller (37 not out) who prepared the boundaries to lift Zimbabwe to a massive target.

Vermeulen tips Blignaut and Flower to return.....
Zimbabwe opening batsman Mark Vermeulen has tipped former international stars Grant Flower and Andy Blignaut to make a return to franchise cricket later this year. Speaking to the Bangladesh newspaper Prothom Alo, Vermeulen who is currently recovering from a slight groin strain and should recover in time for the first ODI on Tuesday said that former hard hitting allrounder Blignaut was in discussions with a franchise
